How the rafting process works . . .

We begin our rafting trips in Cyr, MT. Our shop is located along the Clark Fork River, right at the put in, where we provide everyone with a PFD, wetsuit and splash tops. The first half of the day is filled with rapids and amazing scenery. Bald Eagles, Osprey and other wildlife are usually spotted on this stretch of river, as the Clark Fork passes through the Alberton Gorge Corridor. We beach for lunch that is homemade and served with fresh produce grown straight from our own garden (when in season). Our, lunch as our guest claim, was the best meal of their summer vacation! The half day trips travel through the same stretch of the Alberton Gorge.

After lunch, there is an abundance of whitewater and scenery. We stop at Fish Creek, with its a marvelous swimming hole, along the way, and pass through a stretch of cedar forest before ending our day on the river.

During the spring runoff in May and early June the river offers, Class III– IV rapids and rafters must be at least 16 years old. From July through October, the rapids are Class II–Class III and all ages are welcome. Listed in the table below are a few items to bring on the river trip. We use top-of-the-line, self-bailing rafts that can be propelled by a team of paddlers or a single guide with oars. Family members of most ages and skill levels are welcome. Any individuals requiring special needs will receive our full caring attention. We have special pricing for children (ages 6-12) and seniors. We can provide fully catered dinners (featuring fresh natural foods and creative cooking) to finish your afternoon float. Ask about combining a day of whitewater with a day of fishing or any other Montana adventure you seek. We can help arrange local accommodations as well as plan your journey to points of interest, such as hiking trips to mountain lakes and hot springs, or horse back riding.
